Snatch Straps
Snatch Straps are designed to meet the demands of many farming, mining and other large machinery.
Snatch Straps are a webbing strap made of nylon that is attached to a vehicle to assist in its recovery when bogged or stuck.
The engineering of this product is designed with a material that allows a 20-25% stretch to assist in recovery of vehicles with minimal effort.
This results in easier and safer recovery than ropes or cables which have had many cases of lowering the chance of extraction of vehicle.
Remember all straps have their limitations and the correct sized strap must be used to suit what is bogged.
Choosing the correct size Snatch Strap
As stated in the Australian "Consumer Goods (Motor Vehicle Recovery Straps) Safety Standard 2017"
Section 8 (iv)
"A recommendation that the minimum breaking strength of the strap should be between 2 and 3 times the gross vehicle mass (GVM) of any vehicle it is used with;"
Example: If your Vehicle GVM is 25000kgs (25 Tonne) fully loaded, you require to use a 50000kg (50Tonne) or 75000kg (75Tonne) Snatch strap.
