Snatch Strap

SSA (Snatch Straps Australia) Recovery Snatch Straps are made from Australian Made 100% Nylon webbing, not Polyester.
All webbing is sewn by our team that has over 40 years experience in this product.
Eyes are sewn at each end of the strap with the Item Specifications and unique batch number attached.

NEW MANDATORY SAFETY STANDARD – It is recommended that the minimum breaking strength of the strap should be between 2 and 3 times the vehicle’s gross vehicle mass (GVM) and the strap must be suited to the (GVM) of the lighter of the two vehicles used in the recovery process.
This means the 75,000kg breaking snatch strap can safely extract a vehicle fully loaded with a maximum 37,500kg GVM.
For full details on Snatch Strap Industry Guidelines are covered under the
Consumer Goods (Motor Vehicle Recovery Straps) Safety Standard 2017

Anti - Recoil Strap

All Snatch Strap Australia Snatch Straps include the anti-recoil safety strap.
The anti-recoil safety straps are a superb product.

In the event the breakage limit is reached, the anti-recoil strap eliminates the recoil of the of the snatch strap.

Anchor points on vehicles are not always adequate to withstand the tonnage placed on them.

Recovery Bridle:

A recovery bridle is a webbing strap attached to both sides of the vehicle being towed or winched. It allows the movement on the snatch strap to deflect from side to side allowing the towing vehicle and the vehicle being towed independence of movement.
The bridle can also be used as a straight pull 37,500kg breaking tow strap. This means you can tow up to a maximum 18,750kg GVM.
It is possible to purchase higher rated bridles so the tow strap matches your GVM, eg a 150,000kg bridle can be used as a 75,000kg breaking straight pull allowing up to 37,500kg vehicles to be towed.
The alternative is to buy an additional strap specifically made to be a tow strap.

Axle Strap:

An Axle Strap is a webbing strap attached to the axle as a loop and then connected to the Bridle. 2 Axle straps will be required connecting to both ends of the bridle.
This allows easier access and centralising of the bridle for easier extraction of vehicle.

CAUTION: If the webbing strap is cut or damaged DO NOT USE, take it to your local stockist for assessment repair.
All instructions are required to be perfectly followed, anti-recoil straps to be secured whenever supplied and common sense does need to be employed at all times.
